December Meeting's Agenda


  1. If you haven't done so, vote for when you would like the next Block Watch meeting. FYI This meeting will also be a social gathering to celebrate the holiday season.
  2. Is anyone interested in hosting the December meeting/ social gathering?
  3. Need someone to distribute a flyer to invite/remind people of the Block Watch meeting? Leave a comment to volunteer.
  4. Report on issues discussed at WHNA's November Block Watch meeting. (I'm going, anyone interested in joining me?)
  5. If there is something you would like to discuss, leave a comment below.

    I contacted Alderman Mike Murphy's office concerning trimming the trees on the south end of the block. A work order has been established. Hopefully we can admire the newly trimmed and leafless trees at the December meeting.

    I'll help distribute flyers for the December meeting. Sorry we missed the October meeting. Is this blog the only place we are posting meeting dates? And when is the Nov. meeting?

    Sarah, as far as I know, this is the only place we are posting information about scheduled meetings and the like. I was handing out flyers to invite neighboors to our meeting that are not aware that we have a blockwatch. As far as the november meeting, we did not schedule one at our last meeting, but its not too late to schedule one, anyone interested in hosting? Because of the small turnout, I thought in lieu of our meeting, we could attend the WHNA's meeting to get a feel for what the issues are throughout Washington Hieghts. They may have ideas we could use to help make our block safer. Just my thought, what does everyone else think?

    I can help distribute flyers. It would be helpful if we could get information about upcoming block watch meetings via email. Are they sent by email and I'm missing them??
    I look forward to the next meeting.
    I am thinking about renting a room in my house to someone. If anyone hears of a reliable, mature person who would like to house share, please let me know.
